A simpler way to say goodbye

What is a direct cremation?

A direct cremation is a cremation without family or friends attending the crematorium. There is no attended funeral service, but your loved one is still cared for and treated with dignity throughout.

We arrange their collection and care, guide you through the paperwork, provide a simple lined coffin and arrange an individual cremation. We keep you informed, including letting you know when the cremation will take place.

You can then choose how to remember your loved one. That might be a quiet moment together, a family gathering or a celebration of their life at a time and place that feels right. Hand delivery of ashes is available for an additional £100.

Direct cremation is not right for everyone. If being present at the crematorium is important to you, please speak to us about the options before deciding.
